OWIT South Florida Announces 13th Annual International Business Woman of the Year Awards Featuring D
The Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT) – South Florida is pleased to announce that it is partnering with Books & Books to host OWIT’s 13th Annual International Business Woman of the Year (IBWOY) Awards luncheon, an event honoring and celebrating women engaged in international business and international trade. This year’s event features special guest, Diane von Furstenberg, one of the world’s most successful fashion designers, known for her iconic wrap dress. Attendees will experience a live interview of Ms. von Furstenberg by South Florida’s own Laurie Jennings, Local 10 News anchor.
The 13th Annual IBWOY Awards luncheon will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Rusty Pelican (3201 Rickenbacker Causeway, Key Biscayne, Florida) from 11:00am to 2:00pm. The cost of the event is $70 for members and $80 for nonmembers in advance and $95 for all attendees who purchase tickets at the door.
Every year, OWIT’s Woman of the Year Awards luncheon brings together hundreds of professional women and men in South Florida to honor three outstanding women in the international business or international trade industries for their professional success and commitment to their communities. Awards are presented in three categories, Small/Medium Business, Large Business, and Service. The event includes a one-hour VIP Sponsor Reception prior to the luncheon providing an intimate networking environment for the event’s VIP sponsors and Ms. von Furstenberg. After the VIP Sponsor Reception, attendees will gather for a seated lunch overlooking the Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay and enjoy a lively interview of Ms. von Furstenberg followed by the presentation of the 2014 IBWOY Awards to our three distinguished winners.
Proceeds from this event will fund scholarships for women at South Florida universities studying international business or trade.
